Temperature Dependence of the Magnetic Properties in METGLAS 2605 SC and METGLAS 2826 MB


Abstract
Magnetization curves and temperature dependences of the magnetization for the amorphous ferromagnetic metglas 2605 SC and metglas 2826 MB were measured by a vibrating sample magnetometer in the temperature range from 77K to 1050K. When the applied magnetic field is 14KOe, 2605 SC is nearly saturated magnetically and 2826 MB completely saturated. At 77K and room temperature, saturated magnetizations are 178¡¾2, 165¡¾2(2605 SC) and 102¡¾2, 89¡¾ 2(2826 MB) emu/g, respectively. The crystallization of the amorphous 2605 SC starts at 730K and finishes at 820K. Curie temperatures of2605 SC are 690¡¾2K in the amorphous state and 1020¡¾2K in the crystalline phase. Metglas 2826 MB shows that Tc in the amorphous state is 580¡¾2K and two magnetic crystalline phases with Tc=760¡¾5K and 540¡¾5K exist.
